Who

Experienced, respected election administrators and subject matter experts will teach. All Illinois County Clerks, election officials and staff may attend courses.

What

A 12-class educational program covering all aspects of election administration, for officials and staff. This is a program of the Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders (IACCR).

The first 2-year phase, in 2023 and 2024, provided a broad overview of the statutory framework and key operational considerations, with a primary goal of preparing new Clerks for their duties, while surfacing and socializing local best practices and standard procedures from experienced clerks in order to encourage greater procedural uniformity.

Phase Two, in 2025 and 2026 will revisit some topics in greater depth, provide more national best practices and offer management and professional development topics.

When

1 to 3 in-person classes over a single day at each quarterly meeting of IACCR / IACO

• September, November, January and May 

• Self-guided online requirements for each class keep in-person sessions short

Where

At each quarterly IACCR / IACO meeting. Upcoming: 

• Sept. 10-12 — IACCR Conference, President Lincoln Doubletree Inn, Springfield

• Nov. 17-19 — IACO Conference, Marriott Hotel, Bloomington/Normal

• future dates released as details are finalized by the associations
